Sargeant Flanaghan has no use for the "New" Constables.  He tells them to take a lift in the New Car and go pound their old beat.  Sloane and Reilly are paired up and dropped off in Shamrock Street.

Officers Reilly immediately pounds down on Big Mick and tackles him red handed from behind, the big guy shrugs him off.  Reilly lands on some house steps with the bag snatched back. Sloan pulls the service baton ordering the ruffian to stop Blackie has a firm grip on Reilly, when Sloan looks for support nobody is there. I'll get that big Bastard another time!

Blackie gives a statement.  Sloan cant trust her, Reilly cant keep his eyes off her, Blackie cant keep her hands off of young Patrick Reilly.  The scoop from her is the Big Bastard was following her, she saw us coppers and decided to walk ahead and in view.  Blackie was dropped from a car at Clanceys flophouse.  Sloane's keen to go looking.
